Freylach Old-Time Jamboree! is an exciting combination of Klezmer band "Freylach Time!" and several Old-Time musicians. They perform Klezmer tunes in a style true to the tradition and the recent Klezmer revival, and Old-Time American tunes, often in medleys with a unique Jewish Twist. Formed in Durham in 1998, the core trio features the energetic and expressive clarinet playing of Riki Friedman, the rhythmic and melodic accordion of Mike Mcquown, and the powerful, creative string bass of Hal Schnee. Add the old-time fiddle and vocals of Christine Westfall and percussion of Lori Baron, and you'll soon be out of your seat dancing (and having some laughs along the way).
